Chris House realized at a young age that some people are better off working for themselves. Delivering newspapers, mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and digging holes installing real estate signs were a few jobs that he created for himself during his youth and teen years in Norwood, Massachusetts, a suburban town close to Foxborough, home of the New England Patriots.
Following high school graduation, it was off to college to pursue his other passion - playing football. Four years on the field at NCAA D3 Curry College led to a career choice of coaching football. He became Coach House and earned a Masters Degree in Sports Management from Ball State University along the way.
His passion for playing the game was shifted to coaching for 16 seasons, at Colgate University, Earlham College, Framingham State University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Curry College.
In the early 1990's, while seeking an additional career to balance with coaching, he stumbled into the staffing industry as a sales representative. Quickly realizing that "hey, I can do this", Patriot Personnel Service, Inc. was born. PPS built relationships with many high-profile businesses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The success of that company led to another - Teamwork Staffing Service, Inc.. TSS grew into a well-known regionally recognized employment agency brand throughout New England. In addition, His passion for sports, particularly the Patriots, led to other entrepreneurial ventures, including Houseteam Tickets & Tours.
Chris met Jodi in 1999 and the couple wed in 2005. He "retired" from coaching to start a family and continued to grow his business. Tom (2006) and Matt (2008) were quickly added to the team. The Patriots won the Super Bowl following the 2001 NFL season and became the most successful sports franchise of the 21st century.
The election of Obama-Biden in 2008, and its crippling effects of universal healthcare on the employment industry, forced the sale of Teamwork Staffing Service. In 2009, the House family fled the blue-state regime in Massachusetts and settled comfortably in North Naples, Collier County, Florida. They've never looked back, except for annual visits to Foxborough - home of the Patriots.
Coach House returned in 2013, joining the staff at Barron Collier High School. Following 6 seasons at BC sandwiched around 3 at CSN, he is currently a Varsity Assistant Coach and the Director of Football Operations at Collier County's new Aubrey Rogers High School.
Houseteam Sports Management reopened in 2020, providing sports and business management consulting services to schools, leagues and organizations. 239 Team Sports was created to offer discount sports equipment, uniforms, and gear to youth sports, high school sports and community organizations. Houseteam has also returned to the employment industry. Seasonal Staffing & Recruiting will serve the many industries in Southwest Florida that have fluctuating employee needs throughout the year.
